This chess community, mentioned in the link above, is OLD NORTH ST. LOUIS.  A chess community supporting outdoor chess tables is the best way to have regular participation at the tables. It is even better than having a facilitator, although outdoor chess tables should at a minimum have a chess facilitator.

    Beginnings
I have started this discussion forum with the primary intent of featuring outdoor chess tables across the world (hopefully eventually with chess facilitators). However, other chess topics that appear here on chessfacetoface may also be discussed.

I want to be in touch with people around the world who share an interest of promoting chess at outdoor chess tables. And I also encourage readers who are travelling to take pictures of outdoor chess tables and share them here along with some commentary.
