British Columbia Chess Master and chess history consultant, Dan Scoones, recently passed away. He was an active member, frequent poster, and administrator of the Facebook group, "Outdoor Chess Tables." He was always a helping hand and always there to consult. I really appreciated his help. RIP Dan, you will be missed. The photo above features Dan in what he also loved doing, sharing chess in exhibitions with the general public.
Tribute to Dan is at: bcchesshistory.com/BCCFBulletin409.pdf starting at page 4.
