This outdoor chess park in Fort McMurray Alberta (Northern Canada) almost vanished to plans for a parking lot. But concerned citizens took action with a petition and the park carries on with continuous chess fun.

Tony, the oldest regular chess player at the Kitchener tables. Age 85 he is still strong, alert and active. I took this picture today as he was in the midst of his games.
